Yinveira Hael-miir, Sacred Hope in the Shadows of the Absent Moon

“No being shall lay eyes on the face of the Maiden. None but the Moons and those about to fall by her hand.”

Much like the other nine Moonmaidens, little is known about Yinveira outside the swampy borders of the Elven Queendom. All but her name and her function as a Zahomire – a necromancer and commander of an undead army that keeps the blackpowder rifles and awful machinery of the Human republic at bay – are carefully kept secret by the Elven court and their feared Nyathrien spies. Few outside the inner circle of the Queen have laid eyes on her, not least due to the fact that in peacetime, she is the Zhaomire of a far away moon pond deep in the swamps of Southern Reaches, a pond that is believed to be one cursed by the Moons themselves. Some gossip that the pond is the Moonmaidens punishment, as she too carries the name Hael-miir – the absent moon. However true these rumors may be, the Queendom is all too eager to use her as a terrifying beacon and efficient general of one of its armies, which she leads from the safety of the undead wall of soldiers she commands.
